Hot and Healthy Toast in 5 Minutes

Sometimes you have the energy to pull out all the cutting boards and fire up every pot and pan on the stove…but some days all you can manage is pressing down on the toaster. The Bird doesn’t judge, though. Embrace the easy and top your toast with some of our favorite unexpectedly-spicy combos.

Hot Tip: these can transform into party apps in a snap – just cut your bread base down to bite sized pieces!

For the Summer Lovers:

Heirloom Tomato + Serrano


  • 1 piece of your favorite bread
  • 1 heirloom tomato, sliced
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • Yellowbird Serrano
  • Fresh basil
  • Black sesame seeds

If you’re building a picnic spread, this is a great place to start. Serrano adds a zip to ripe tomatoes and fluffy cream cheese, and the basil adds brightness. Double up for a spicy caprese sandwich!

For the Adventurous:

Peanut Butter + Sriracha


  • 1 piece of your favorite bread
  • 1-2 tbsp peanut butter
  • ½ a green onion, chopped
  • Yellowbird Blue Agave Sriracha
  • Fresh cilantro
  • 1 small thai chili, chopped

Move over, jelly- give a grownup kick to your fave childhood snack. Green onions and cilantro add to the peanut-sauce-vibe and Blue Agave Sriracha is spicy-sweet. Add a thai chili for even more heat.

For the Brunch-Obsessed:

Avocado + Habanero


  • 1 piece of your favorite bread
  • ½ avocado, sliced or mashed
  • 1 radish, thinly sliced
  • Yellowbird Habanero
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Black sesame seeds

Avo toast is here to stay, y’all! Creamy avocado cools heat, so we’re generous with Habanero, radish for peppery crunch, and cilantro for freshness. Put a fried egg on top – we dare ya!
